You're toying with the idea of getting a psychic reading. But, you're not sure. Well, there are all kinds of reasons not to get a reading and there are all kinds of reasons to get a reading. I'd like to toss around some of the reasons not to get a reading. What if you're afraid that what I'll say isn't true, but because you're tempting fate by going to a medium somehow it will all come true and then where will you be? Well, I'd say if you were afraid to get a reading done you shouldn't get one done. I can say that just because I, or anybody else says so isn't going to make something happen. You are the main determining factor (natural disasters aside) in creating your own reality. And, if you're inclined to be superstitious or afraid of things that go bump in the night then, it's not a good idea to get a reading done.

I think the best reason to get a reading done is to give yourself a new slant on an old problem. Maybe there's something that has concerned you for a very long time and you've gone round and round with it and whatever you do just doesn't seem to be moving you in any positive direction at all. That's a good reason to get a reading done.

Or, you've been plugging away at something for a really long time and don't know if you've been spinning your wheels in vain. That might be a good reason to get a reading done.

I know in the beginning when I was first exposed to things mystical and metaphysical that I was very hesitant to get readings done. I was afraid of what the people would tell me, I suppose. I think I was afraid of hearing from them that I wasn't doing anything right. Or, maybe I wouldn't like what they told me. What if they told me I had a tumor or something? You can imagine the disasters I thought of.

Well, I finally took the plunge and the first reading I got in Berkeley, California from a guy sitting on a corner of Telegraph Avenue right down from the University of Berkeley. I had a choice of him on one corner or a lady on the other corner. I gave him $15.00 and he laid out the cards. (The price has probably gone up since then. I'm talking years ago.) He looked up at me and said, "This is very strange. This isn't for you at all. This is for your husband." Okay. He talked about finances. Ayup. It happened. Did he make it happen? No. He just knew about it.

The next reading I had done in Oakland, California in Chinatown. A lady read my palm. She also talked about financial problems. Ayup. She also wanted more money to make it better. Ayup (Walk real fast folks. Say thank you and walk away real fast. That also goes for folks who are willing to remove your curse. Walk away quickly.) The next reading I had done was from one of the Michael channels. He said my chief feature was stubbornness. Ayup. (And, no I'm not from Vermont.) The next reading was after I learned how to channel for myself and I went to a lady who did a psychic reading. She said my guide was female and that they didn't like all the dark and drab clothes I wore. I said thank you. (Always say thank you whether you agree or not....that's the channel talking.)

But, for me as a channel, each of these readings was valuable to me. In the repetition the financial aspect kept raising up...now, many years later we're not so deeply in debt, but, at least it doesn't bother me as much as before. I just keep plugging away and try not to worry so much. But, I was learning how to do a reading while I was having these readings done. There were things that I liked and there were things that I didn't agree with totally. My guide, Seth, has since been described by other psychics as a feminine energy. I asked him about how these other psychics are saying he's a she. He said that was the easiest way for him to relate to me and for me to be as open as I am to him. Whatever works. But, it reminded me of the fact that the guides are really neither female or male. They just are. Sometimes it just helps us to have them be a human sort of form. It also served to illustrate for me once again that whoever the psychic is they will be interpreting what they "see" in the context of their reality.

What for one person will indicate a dangerous or terrible situation might for someone else represent learning and challenge. It's just how you chose to look at things. I tend to gravitate more toward the learning and challenges.

I try to get out to have a reading done once a year. Lately, I've been going to folks on the internet. I'll be surfing around and be attracted to somebody. That's how I came upon Barb Mallon. I made an appointment to have a reading with her and the first thing she saw were a whole bunch of spirit cats. Well, you've seen all our cats. At one time we had 12 living with us. At the time of this writing there are 6. But, they've all come to us mostly as older street cats wanting us to take care of them for the rest of their lives. And, that's what Dennis and I do. Anyway, that's neither here nor there. It's what Barb picked up on. There were other things too. So, if you don't buy a reading from me, consider getting one from her. She is just awesome.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is just have fun with it. Don't just have one psychic reading. Have lots of them!

True Love Found. Okay, the answer to your question of whether you find true love is not dependent on anyone other than yourself. And, you are the only one who can make the decision of whether you are going to be creating and maintaining a relationship with anyone. If you sit alone Saturday night after Saturday night it is nobody else's fault but your own. You are the one who opens the door and goes to the movies. You are the one to go to the store. You are the one to go to the library, to church, to a neighborhood watch meeting, to an AA meeting. You are the one who HAS TO MAKE EYE CONTACT with another human being and say HELLO. The true love of your life will not fall into your lap. You have to make the attempt to go out and find them.

Now, some things for you to think about. Are you afraid? If so, what are you afraid of? Narrow things down and start to sort out your complicated relationship issues on your own. Go slowly out into society. Be safe about it. Do not go to a single's bar if that makes you uncomfortable. Instead, go to a meeting. Join a group. That way it's not you alone. It's you and a BUNCH of other people. Over time someone in that group might catch your eye and you might then feel comfortable enough to go talk to them.

And, when it comes time to go out on a date maybe you can suggest that you go out in a group. That way the burden of the conversation does not fall on you alone.

Relax about this, please. Don't worry about acting like a fool or looking dumb. If you've got to pretend to be anything other than you really are then you are not being honest about it. And, if in acting like yourself you come off looking dumb to the other person and that person decides they'd rather not have a relationship with you? So be it. Their values weren't in the right place to start with were they? Please relax about it.

Please remember that nobody is going to make you happy. You have to make yourself happy. And, if you're looking for love remember that you will never know love if you don't love yourself first.

Next reason not to have a psychic reading is if you are looking to catch somebody cheating on you. Again, this is something you need to determine yourself. You can either ask them directly and then believe their answer. Maybe they will tell you no, but you still believe they are cheating on you. You don't need a psychic. You need a private eye. Maybe you don't want to push the issue and allow things to go along. Maybe, just maybe, your spouse is going through a bad time and doesn't want to involve you in it. Time heals all wounds and maybe it will just take care of itself, the suspected relationship will end and everything will go back to normal again. Instead of focusing in on the cheating part think of why you decided to begin a relationship with this person. Remember back to the days when you first fell in love and how wonderful it was. Maybe, just maybe it will be okay. Or, hire a private eye and prepare yourself for the worst.

Enough of love. How about dying? Am I going to die you ask? Well, yes. Everybody is going to die. The thing about worrying is that worry can shorten your life too. What would it be like if you didn't worry so much about everything? You've got medical support. You might not agree with what the doctors are saying or suggesting, but nobody ever said you couldn't get a second opinion.

Please be practical about things. Or try to be. Make sure your will is in order. Remember that when you pass on everything you own is going to go somewhere. Somebody is going to have to deal with it. If you want a particular thing to go to a particular person either put it in your will or paste their name and instructions on the bottom or the back of the thing. If somebody is going to ignore those instructions or not notice them that's not your problem anymore is it? Because, you'll be dead and believe me you won't care anymore.

If we realized how silly so much of what we worry about is to Folks in Spirit we wouldn't waste any more time on worry. Anyway, I can't tell you if you're going to die. I can, though, tell you something the guides told me a long time ago. Nobody, nobody dies who hasn't already accomplished every single thing they ever set out to accomplish in that life. You just don't leave things undone. From a human being's standpoint things didn't get accomplished…a life was cut short too soon…a person had just lost 150 pounds, quit smoking, quit drinking and finally seemed to get their life in order and then they died? How wonderful is that? Well, they got done what they'd intended to do.
