Recycling and Terrific
Creative Things You Can Do
We all know we need to be recycling. There are things we can do. There are things we haven't done yet. Sometimes it seems hopeless when you look at what huge corporations do to pollute our world. But, there is something you can do. Start small. Start in your own house. And, by the way, you can be really creative with what you do.
I've been collecting sites where folks talk about what we can do to improve things in our world, things that are do-able, things that are easy to do.
Take a stab at all those plastic bags we get when we go shopping. Turn them into plarn which is plastic yarn. Or, iron them flat and turn them into fabric that you can remake into other bags that are going to last you for years, into raincoats, or even into shingles to patch your roof.
Go through your closet to find all those clothes you aren't wearing anymore. Or, stop by a yard sale or Goodwill or anyplace people are selling their old, out of date clothes and remake all that stuff into new, funky designs. There are lots of videos on this page of people who are already doing just that. Watch and get your own ideas.
Some of the sites listed below are places where you can purchase items other people have made out of recycled materials. Some of the sites show you how to do things yourself.
And, guess what? You're helping to save the environment. You are starting to live Green.
As always, if you think your site would fit really well on this page, please contact me.

Welcome! The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 4,587 groups with 5,711,000 members across the globe. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free. To sign up, find your community by entering it into the search box above or by clicking on “Browse Groups” above the search box. Have fun!
You never know what will come in handy for a craft project or fill a need around the house. Besides, recycling stuff is better than adding to the landfills and it's good for our environment! Here are some ideas for things you can use all that old stuff for.
