Motivational Sites

On a day to day basis I figure we're all plenty motivated enough. We're here aren't we? Whatever our plans are for the day we generally get done with things like going to work or school, cleaning our houses or areas as my husband likes to call the space that surrounds him and his chair or at his computer desk, doing shopping, preparing meals, taking care of children, old folk, sick folk or our pets. We take time out to pursue other areas of interest whether it is as simple as sitting in front of a television, reading a book, putting a model ship together or working in a shop area we've set aside in our garage. Our days are typically partitioned into areas: duty, home and hobby.

Some days we spend more time on one than on another, but does it at times become sort of routine? Are some of the things we do every day more enjoyable than others and are some of the things we do routinely not enjoyable at all? Could they be? Could going to work, if not be fun, at least be more than something you have to do? Could you look forward to doing something as routine as ironing? I'd like to see somebody do that. I'd like to see somebody be able to put a little bit more joy into their life.

I'm not talking about being motivated to do things you aren't presently doing. I'm talking about being motivated to enjoy and take delight in the things you do now.

I have a feeling we get into ruts both about what we do and how we feel about it all. It's an ordinary rut. It's a hum-drum rut. It's a rut and it's hard to get out of a rut. The resources I've listed below are motivational sites. These folk have stories to tell that will capture your imagination. They sort of get you to think out of your rut and be in a position to spring into action which is where you want to be once you are out of your rut.

If everything begins with a dream, with a wish and with a thought then, I'd like to look forward to Monday morning. I'd like to jump at the opportunity to iron or vacuum. I'd like to get really excited about shopping for groceries. I'd like to have twitchy fingers ready for my calculator as I get ready to reconcile the checkbook. Yeah, right. Well, at least I'd like to be more interested in these ordinary things than I usually am.

A motivational site might do that.

You needn't wait for motivation to come to you. You can't just sit there and wait for it. It won't never come to you else you be ready. Bein' ready for motivation, though, that's another story. You can't never tell a person who's gots lots of ideas and such that they ever just sat there await'n for lightning to strike, or a plumb good idea to occur to them. Nope. They went on the look out for motivational sorts of ideas to come to them. Now, you didn't never hear tell of them gettin up and actually goin' about pokin' under rocks and such lookin' for that plumb good idea. My own personal view on those sorts of activities is you go lookin' for trouble and it'll find you soon enough. No, they warn't lookin' under rocks.

No, there warn't much of any unsual sorts of activity that you could tell them apart from anybody who never had a good idea this side of thirteen years of age. No sirrie, it warn't no extra movin' about that set them apart. More like it war a look in the eye that they get. It's not a sort of schemin' sort of look or a calculatin' sort of look. It's more of an alert sort of look. Like they're on the look out for something. And, there's a patience to them. They ain't antsy. But, they're ready.

That's how you got to be to find motivational sorts of these here websites to go alookin for. Folks talk of surfin' the web. Looks more like to me they be afishin'. But, that's neither here nor there. I might be one of them there spirits this woman be talkin to these days, but she's a hard worker.
