A Wink in Time

One of the things a person can work on their entire life is their relationship to Spirit. Before I became psychic, that meant God and the angels. Of course, there were saints. It was what Catholics taught me about. For some reason, I didn’t think much about people who had died. I didn’t think that they were just in their graves and the invisible parts of them were in Heaven, but that came close. 

The only one, at that time, who had passed was my grandmother. I missed her terribly, and that loss did not ease until I was able to talk to her once again, 28 years later, when I learned how to be a psychic channel.

I was assured she was fine and happy. That’s all I wanted to know. Of course, I also wanted her to know how much I missed her. She was aware of that, but the “rules” are that folk in Heaven aren’t so concerned about us missing them. She loved me, certainly. But my understanding of it is that everybody loves everybody in Heaven. I’ll know for sure once I’ve passed, but until that time, with the experience I’ve had talking to Spirit, they’re all fine and dandy up there.

Also, another thing I learned was that there is no Hell. Evidently, Heaven has hot spots too, though I’m not sure if my Spirit Guide was pulling my leg on that one. Evidently, Earth school doesn’t stop here as your soul leaves your earthly body and goes to Heaven, or at least some other place where it continues to study. Evidently, there is a lot to learn.

Also, my Guide told me that it might take 15 separate lifetimes to cover one subject. I suppose you could say we are a wink in time here on Earth.

I remember once hearing from other psychic people that some of them said they had ascended so they didn't need to worry about things the way other people did. I didn’t understand that until they explained that there would be no need for them to reincarnate anymore. I said, “That’s nice”. I didn’t buy it then, and I still don’t buy it. But if that’s what they want to believe, I’m not going to argue with them.

Anyway, back to God. There are many people who believe in God, who ask him or her for help, and who pray. The big thing is that however you believe in God is fine. Suppose you are wont to buy into the idea of Heaven and Hell, fine. I’m sure some of those classes (somebody in Spirit just told me that was more independent study rather than classes) we attend will be difficult at times.

I’m thinking Spirit wants to say something. Seeing as how this is TalkingToSpirit.com, I will just do some channeling. Is this Seth?

No, Dear, it is your grandmother.

Grandma! I haven’t talked to you in a while.

I know. That’s fine. You know your grandfather and I are together here. It’s not like we are glued at the hip because I’ve got a whole slew of husbands around that I had on Earth. If you can think of all the friends a person could have on Earth in Heaven, it is more like a stadium full of them. It’s pretty interesting. When new folks get here, they get to have a party. They can move easily again. They feel fine. They are somewhat awed by all of it, but they are limited a little bit while they get their sea legs on again before they begin to explore.

I wanted to say something to you, Pauline. You’ve been wondering lately just what you should call yourself. I realize you don’t feel very psychic, other than being able to talk to dead people, as you like to call us, but you really don’t need to be concerned about it. You are you. Whether you can sense things about a person or not doesn’t matter. What does matter is that you try to get people to connect to their spiritual selves and to God, whether they do it through an organized church group or as an evolving relationship with Spirit.

Grandma?

Are you sure it doesn’t matter?

You worry too much. Look, until somebody says something to you that you need to have a business license or be a certified minister, don’t worry about it. This is your world and how you perceive it. You’ve already been vetted by the psychological community, so you know in your heart that it is okay and you are not crazy. It’s like you are Chicken Little, always wondering if the sky is going to fall. The sky, Sweetheart, is not going to fall, so enjoy your time as a person who lives to motivate others, who is encouraging to people who are experiencing hard times or who are despondent. Keep yourself cheerful, and when you are not, allow yourself just to be there until you get up again. It’s okay. It really is okay.

Shoot, Grandma. You’ve got me going.

Well, I was always proud of you. I knew you would be like I was when you got older. There are advantages to being psychic. You know your mother was psychic, too.

If you all hadn’t noticed, I put my grandmother’s words in a bold italic font. I’ve been doing that for years since I started channeling in 1993.

Just as people will always learn new things from each other, psychics learn from each other, too. If you are psychic, I’d love to hear what your own experiences have been and how you have evolved from your first psychic inclinations to where you are now.
