An Upset

A little bit of a foreword for this piece. I ended up talking to my Spirit Guide, Seth. Where he talks, I put his words in a Bold, Italic font

So, what do you do when your day turns to kaka? I’m counting on you being able to tell I really don’t mean kaka. I’m talking about sh*t.

My day started off in an ordinary manner. I wrote a story. It wasn’t bad, so I created an illustration for it and posted it on Blogger. Like I always do.

I’ve got two websites that make their home on Blogger. One is Talking to Spirit, which has been in existence for 25 years. It’s had different homes, but most recently I moved it over to Blogger. Hey, it’s a less expensive alternative to a more expensive web hosting platform.

The other Blogger site I have is my author’s website. I figured it was time to have something like that, and even though I’m not exactly published in the form of books, I write there.

The story was intended to be published on my author’s website. It ended up on Talking to Spirit. I let it stay there. The illustration was intended for my author’s website with the color scheme I mostly use there, but having gone to the trouble of creating a picture, I just let it all stay.

Then, my computer froze. My email wouldn’t work. So, I did an old Alt-Ctrl-Delete to bring up the task manager. Finally, that worked. Then, Word froze.

It turned out to be a frustrating day. So much of my energy was directed toward trying to figure out why my computer wasn’t working the way it normally did.

It turned out to be a number of frustrating days.

My writing took a slump. My creativity seemed to stall. I did go to CoPilot to ask what the problem was. Handy thing CoPilot is. It’s like Google on the best speedo research legs you’ve ever seen. CoPilot explained that Windows had just been updated. This evidently frazzled the nerves of the software on my computer. It directed me to find a Normal file, rename it to OldNormal, and then reboot my computer. When the computer came back on again, it created a new Normal file. It was just a glitch and not a bunch of angry gremlins following me around for days.

It took me some time to climb out of the slump I was in. Could I also have been under the weather? I don’t know. It’s times like these when I think anybody needs a jolt or something to move them back into the rhythm of their days again.

Seth?

Yes?

Could you recommend something? Maybe others out there could use a hint to nudge themselves back on track.

You’re not going to like this.

Really?

Really. When a person has a cold, they are obviously sick. They take to their bed. They moan a lot. They drink juice and tea to help them recover. But for a period of time, they suspend their normal daily activities to pay attention to getting better.

Right?

And so, when you’ve taken an emotional hit of some sort, there is a similar recovery period. Even if the person is well enough to go back to school or to work, they are going to find they don’t have the same zip, zoom, zada that they had before. Mid-afternoon, they might need a break. It’s not in their normal routine to do that, but because they were physically ill, they are now in the healing phase of their illness.

It is not on and off. There is that time in between where the deeper healing happens.

So, did I have an emotional upset?

Yes, you did. You went a three-day round with your neighbor. Dealing with her issues took a lot out of you.

Yes, I’d forgotten. The worst of it is over, but I still cringe when the phone rings.

Yes.

So, just wait it out?

No. Do the same things you would do if you were recovering from an illness. Treat yourself “special”.

Ha.

What is that, Dear?

You put quotes in the channeling I was doing for you.

Yes. Surprising, isn’t it?

Yes. And thanks.

Thanks for reading.
