About Psychic Channeling and a Conversation With My Spirit Guide Seth

I can’t say I have a specific routine every day when it comes to being psychic. On hot days, I try to get as much done in the morning as I can. The heat really saps me later on in the day. However, I also like to make it a practice to do something inspirational as I begin my day. This morning I did not and instead pounded out an article for my Medium writing platform. As with many of my articles, it began one way and then turned in a different direction. I called it Being More Observant. I’ve linked it here. But why I am mentioning it, something I normally don’t, is that it turned out to be a rather interesting conversation with my spirit guide, Seth.

I have to tell you that I look forward ot our conversations at the keyboard. They are always longer than my normal everyday walk-around contact during the course of any day. It is an extended period of time where I can sit and record more of what Seth is saying.

In a sense, these longer conversations are more than the flashes of psychic insight I receive in a faster-paced environment.

All of these ways of channeling are psychic channeling. And, in each instance, I am speaking with my Spirit Guide, Seth. They are just different.

I suppose you could say it’s the difference between walking in a meandering fashion, walking purposely, or running a race. The same but different.

In any case, I enjoyed this morning’s conversation so much that I thought, well, maybe we could do it again. Would that be okay, Seth?

Yes, it would be fine. Is there anything you’d like to talk about?

Well, I thought maybe you could just talk about something that somebody reading this blog might be interested in. You choose.

Then, I will happily oblige. In the interest of brevity, I would suggest we speak of the process of learning how to channel. People who read your blog might very well be interested in learning how to channel for themselves, don’t you think?

Yes. That’s probably right.

Then, we might begin. This is not, of course, the whole story; it is merely a few tips on how to channel.

First of all, the experience itself. Psychic channeling is communicating. It’s just talking. It is not some immense land diva that covers the city of Los Angeles or San Francisco, though such entities do exist. The idea is to speak to your one and only Spirit Guide.

Everyone has one, though you likely have more than one during the course of your life. One for when you are a baby and a small child. Another for when you are older, and another one again once you attain adulthood. This guide is very much not in the limelight, as it were. They are not your guardian angel, but they are your tether to Heaven, as it were.

Not even like a pen pal?

No, not even that. They might provide comfort to you on a deeper level. Not as two aspirin might help you with a headache, but as the sustenance your soul might need. Unseen but felt.

In some instances, people will realize early on that they are aware of more than their everyday walk around in life. In others, they might be influenced by their childhood teachers that speaking to the unseen is not to be tolerated and, in some instances, even considered to be bad.

Once a person reaches an age where they begin to decide for themselves what their life is going to look like, they might have been exposed to things of the woo-woo. Where prayer is almost something more than what they had been taught. Where God is not the old God of hundreds of years past, but is a relatable personage who can guide you. Essentially, your higher self.

Everyone interprets this information if they become aware of it in their own way. There are a thousand and one versions of the truth available. One is not more important or more true than any other.

Compare psychic channeling to making a blue ribbon apple pie. You have a recipe, you follow the recipe, and you have pie. It seems simple enough. However, there is a way to throw flour across your counter. One might just dump a pile of it there and use their hands to smooth it out prior to laying down a cold lump of dough. Or, you might, with a quick flick of your wrist, dust the flour lightly across the board. It is only with practice that this step becomes an important part of building a pie. Yes, it works when you do it the “expert” way, and yes, it works when you dump flour on the board and manually spread it around. Both ways work.

With the instance of psychic channeling, our channel, Pauline, began proceedings as she was instructed in books. These ceremonies involved ways of clearing her anxiousness of the day away to make more room for Spirit. Music, incense, candles, singing bowls, crystals. There was a great deal of preparation, of security, the safest place possible.

As time went on, Pauline became less and less anxious about the process. The same thing occurs with everyday activities. For instance, when a person is learning to write. Much attention is spent concerned with grammatical correctness, with punctuation and with spelling. Then, the writer must answer the question of whether what they are writing is interesting enough. Is the subject matter relevant? All sorts of variables intrude upon the goal of writing an article about something.

As the writer becomes adept at what they do, the concern with the things that froze the process becomes less and less, and so it is no trouble at all to sit and write something.

Connecting with Spirit is the same way. In the beginning, it can be awkward. The issue of fear comes up if the channel is even a little afraid of what they are doing. Ceremonies of protection can be called upon. In the beginning, they serve a purpose.

I don’t use them anymore. I just assume all is well. The ugly or bad things don’t bother me anymore. It just isn’t an issue.

Though it was once upon a time?

Yes, when I was unsure. That’s why I say to prospective students they can’t be afraid. That just messes up the whole thing.

Yes.

I’m sort of running out of gas, Seth.

Yes, why don’t you publish this and take a break; a well-deserved one.

And thanks for reading. I’ve put a link beneath my signature so you can find me in the other places where I write and where I’ve just created a store on Redbubble. I’m incorporating the things that come from the articles I write and from what Spirit talks about in the products. It’s fun, and I’ve already sold a coffee cup!

I try to publish twice a week here at Talking to Spirit. Plus, there is the lovely bit of channeling on the main page of the website that cycles out every day. 365 days of channeled advice.
